BANCA Wedding Photography That is Classic & Timeless

February 14, 2023

An absolutely beautiful summer wedding for Natasha and Scott at BANCA by Di Bruno Bros! Although it was an incredibly hot summer day, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Natasha and Scott made it their mission to include many iconic Philadelphia locations in their special day. After photos around the city, we all headed to the venue for the ceremony, reception, and more BANCA wedding photography.

Venue:

What happens when you take amazing food, a beautiful 150 year old historic building and put them together? Magic. BANCA by Di Bruno Bros. opened in 2019 and is already a classic in the city. If you are from in or around Philadelphia, you have no doubt heard of Di Bruno Bros.. They decided to open a wedding venue in the old Northern Savings Fund building, and I’m so happy they did! They describe BANCA as old world charm meeting modern convenience and I couldn’t have said it better myself. BANCA wedding photography is unmatched in its elegant feel. You will not regret getting married at this gorgeous, historic location!

Getting Ready:

Natasha got ready at the Bellevue Hotel in Center City. I loved getting to take photos there because there are so many WOW worthy locations throughout the building. We were able to take dress photos in front of one of the most amazing windows I’ve ever seen! Scott got ready at the couple’s apartment in the city and decided to go with a green suit to stand out from his groomsmen, which I thought was a really cool touch to the day.

First Look:

I absolutely love first looks and this one brought my love to new heights! Natasha and Scott decided to have their first look at the restaurant they had their first date. The moment was so sweet and brought back such amazing memories for them while also making new ones!

Family & Bridal Party Portraits:

Family portraits were supposed to be at Love Park and City Hall but we had to pivot at the last minute due to huge protests in the aftermath of the government overturning Roe v. Wade. We ended up going to The Art Museum, and I was so happy we did. Not only did it give the couple more time to relax and enjoy pictures without worrying about getting to a bunch of different locations, but the steps of the museum will always be the perfect spot for amazing photo-ops.

Carnival:

While we were taking bridal party portraits I saw a carnival was going on and told the couple that since we couldn’t do pictures at Love Park or City Hall maybe we could get some fun ones there. They loved the idea and we went over for some impromptu merry-go-round photos, which were so fun and different!

Ceremony:

Personal touches during ceremonies always make them that much sweeter. Whenever couples can have a close family/friend be their officiant it adds a really fun personal touch to the ceremony since no one knows you better than them. Natasha and Scott decided to have Scott’s mom officiate their wedding since they are both extremely close with her. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, Natasha brought out adoption papers at the end of the ceremony so Scott could adopt their sweet dog Bebe!

Reception:

Something you don’t always see is a bride and groom speech during the reception. Natasha and Scott wanted their guests to know just how much they meant to them by giving a beautiful heartfelt speech. It’s definitely something no one will forget. To top off the evening Scott’s nieces dedicated the cutest choreographed dance to them. The day started and ended with so much love and laughter!
