Congress Hall in Cape May New Jersey – A Beautiful Spring Wedding

Weddings

On a sunny spring day, Gibby and Dan tied the knot at Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey. Their love story began back in their third year of law school. Now, in front of all of their family and friends, they were ready to say “I do.” Everything about their wedding day was classic, elegant, and romantic.

Venue:

If you have ever seen Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ then you have probably thought to yourself that it’s the perfect place for a wedding. Opened in 1816, Congress Hall has an old world elegance with a modern touch. The property has three separate venues to pick from for both ceremony and reception. On top of being a beautiful venue, they have 100 guest rooms so your guests don’t have to stray too far after dancing the night away!

Flatlays:

I am a huge fan of flatlays! They are the perfect way to show off your invitations, rings, and other wedding day details. I love adding loose blooms, or in this case some sea shells, to the photos to give them an extra touch of beauty.

Getting Ready:

This gorgeous bride, Gibby, got ready at The Virginia Cottages. I always love when brides have sisters because I cannot help but to think about my own sister. It’s so fun watching them interact while the bride gets zipped into her dream dress. Gibby had her two sisters and her mom there to help her get ready to walk down the aisle. Dan got ready in the bridal suite at Congress Hall. Getting ready there gave him and his groomsmen the perfect opportunity for some awesome photos in the main hallway of the building!

Bridesmaids First Look:

Everyone loves a girl gang and Gibby definitely has some of the best! The energy in a room with a bridesmaid first look is always unmatched. You never know what you’re going to get, and this crew did not disappoint. Every girl’s jaw dropped at the sight of Gibby, I found myself wanting to be a part of the group!

Sunglasses:

It’s always fun when a couple adds a personal touch to their special day. Gibby and Dan did that in the form of sunglasses! They got special shades for themselves and the wedding party for everyone to take pictures in. It was the perfect touch to their beachy wedding.

Ceremony:

Dan and Gibby had a wonderful church service. The church had such a grand and elegant feel to it. It was really easy to feel the love in the room as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife!

Cocktail Hour:

Not many things can compare to cocktail hour on the Congress Hall lawn. The property looks so stately and historic. Guests also have a view of the ocean across the street which gives a nice sea breeze while they are sipping their cocktails and eating oysters.

Reception:

Much like everything with this venue, the reception area is as regal as the rest of the building. To add to the extravagance, Gibby and Dan had a live band. Live entertainment is always a nice touch because they interact so well with guests. Gibby also had the perfect dress for twirling the night away!
