Nicolette and Alex got married on a beautiful August day. They spent the morning getting ready at Cairnwood Estate where they also had an intimate first look. Cocktail hour was a time for guests to explore the estate since it was held in the grand entrance, pink room, library and the room that would later be where everyone let loose and danced the night away. Dinner was held under the patio tent covered in gorgeous drapery with magnificent florals covering the tables.

VENUE:

With lush gardens and expansive lawns Cairnwood Estate is a taste of old world Europe right here in our own backyard. Not only does this venue offer a variety of outdoor spots it also offers an abundant amount of indoor locations. Between the grand staircase to the remarkable great hall and the stunning guest rooms you’ll feel like you stepped right into a movie. 

GETTING READY:

Everything about Nicolette and Alex’s day was a fairytale from start to finish. Cairnwood Estates getting ready rooms are second to none and when you include Nicolette and Alex with their closest friends and family it made for a magical morning. The love that surrounded them the morning of their wedding was very evident. 

PORTRAITS: 

I would be remiss to not show off the beauty that was Nicolette and Alex’s portraits. Not only did they have the most spectacular venue to work with, they are a truly stunning couple inside and out. I love getting to highlight the beauty of the venues my couples pick by finding places on the property that make for incredible photos. My hope is that when they look at my photos it brings them right back to that moment even if it’s years down the road.

FUN GUEST SHOTS:

Your guests are at your wedding because they are people you love and want to be a part of your special day. Therefore,  I love including them in photos. When there is down time during cocktail hour I love going around and finding guests who are willing to take fun photos with their drinks. I find this adds a fun element to wedding galleries aside from the usual grab and grins. It also helps that Nicolette + Alex’s guests had so much fun with it!

PONYTAIL RECEPTION:

A lot of brides love to have a dress change during their reception. Nicolette decided to change it up and switch her hair from elegant loose waves to a fun and flirty high pony. Not only did it get Nicolette ready to dance the night away, it was also a fun reveal for Alex and their guests.

CAKE PICTURES:

Couples spend a lot of time picking out the perfect cake for the big day. From styles and flavors to frosting and toppers. Nicolette and Alex decided a couple pictures cutting the cake wasn’t enough. They allowed me to take these extra fun photos of them eating cake. This was also special because it gave them a moment to step away and enjoy a slice of cake in an intimate moment.
