GLEN FOERD

May 15, 2024

Genna and Matt said “I do” at the historical Glen Foerd on the Delaware River in October. With deep blue decor mixed with tons of greenery and white florals it was the perfect combination for a fall wedding. From getting ready all the way through their reception Genna and Matt never had to leave the property.

VENUE

Glen Foerd is a breathtaking mansion venue on the Delaware river. If you’re looking to have a large wedding this is the place to be as they can accommodate up to 300 guests. With lush grounds and waterside access you won’t be disappointed. From getting ready in the morning all the way to your after party Glen Foerd doesn’t miss a beat.

GETTING READY

I love capturing weddings at Glen Foerd for many reasons but one of the main ones is the bridal suite. As a photographer I enjoy finding different props and ways to take photos. Glen Foerd has the most stunning mirrors in the getting ready room and I will never stop obsessing over them. Capturing Genna’s getting ready pictures with her mom through the mirror gives her photos a unique and ethereal vibe.

FIRST LOOK

Genna and Matt had their first look in front of the water. The serene backdrop perfectly captured the love and excitement of the moment. Capturing raw emotion during a first look is a crucial element in wedding photography. Getting to have a special moment before the hustle and bustle of the day is a sweet touch. When you add the water aspect it serves as a  really romantic vibe.

BRIDAL PARTY PORTRAITS

Bridal party portraits are the perfect time to add movement to photos. Genna and Matt’s party was so fun and easy to work with. When I asked them to just start walking all around they did so without hesitation. Sometimes the things we as photographers ask can seem silly in the moment. Once all is said and done the end result speaks for itself. These stunning photos are full of movement while keeping the main focus on Genna and Matt.

CEREMONY

Genna and Matt had the Ketubah signing prior to their ceremony. They had close family as well as the best man and maid of honor present for the signing and reading of the Ketubah. They then had a traditional Jewish ceremony on the grounds in front of the river. Each element of a Jewish ceremony tells a story of love and heritage so it’s always an honor to capture those moments.

RECEPTION

The traditions didn’t stop at the ceremony. During their reception Genna’s grandfather led the blessing of the challah. It was a really powerful moment to be a part of.  Genna and Matt also danced the Hora. Getting to capture the vibrant energy of the hora through my lens is always a joy. Filled with love, laughter, and celebration it’s hard not to be moved. Genna and Matt then danced the night away into their happily ever after!
