Venue

With some of the best panoramic views on the island, Avalon Yacht Club is a heavily sought after venue at the Jersey Shore. Indoor and outdoor ceremony locations make it a stress free option for couples as well. This venue offers the perfect place for a classic beachy wedding while also being an elegant venue.

Getting ready

Katherine spent her morning at a local airbnb with her closest girls! She decided to take a few fun morning of photos with her veil and shades, the beach gave us the perfect backdrop. It’s always nice getting these photos of a bride with her wedding day glow the morning of the wedding. She also had special first looks with not only her stunning bridesmaids but her father as well. Matt spent the morning at his family’s beach house with his groomsmen where they got ready for the day!

Flatlays

I love all flatlays but there are always some that really stick out to me. Katherine and Matt did not disappoint. I always bring extra props with me to match the color of a wedding so as to add some flair to flatlays. However, Katherine and Matt supplied so much for these photos I almost didn’t need anything extra. Also that color scheme? I was obsessed!

Ceremony

Katherine and Matt opted to have their ceremony at a church nearby. The outside of the church almost gave off a storybook look while the inside offered an abundance of light that most churches don’t usually have. This made photos really pop during the ceremony. Katherine and Matt said their “I do’s” and had an adorable bubble send off as they walked out of the church.

Car photos

I always love when my couples choose fun ways to take their portraits together. Katherine and Matt rented a classic Ford Thunderbird and it made for epic photos. We drove to a spot by the water which made for the most stunning backdrop. Katherine and Matt are naturals in front of the camera so it made the pictures that much better. Overall it was very editorial and fun to shoot!

Reception

Katherine and Matt’s reception setup was lovely! I love florals interwoven with candles. It makes the space feel romantic and warm. They also added a special touch to their seating chart with a personalized map of where their beach houses are on the shore point. Little touches like that are always something guests love to see and remember when thinking back on a wedding day. Katherine and Matt’s reception was full of emotions but mostly love, they danced the night away with their closest people who made the party extra fun!
