This 670 acre property in South Jersey has been hosting weddings for around 100 years. So if you’re looking for a venue that knows what they’re doing, Seaview Hotel is the place for you. Not only do they have the option to host your wedding there you can also have a welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, and farewell breakfast on the property. With indoor and outdoor ceremony sites and a personal day of coordinator who knows the property inside and out you’re sure to get the day of your dreams! As if that wasn’t enough there are also golf packages available for grooms and their groomsmen.
Rachel and AJ decided on a first look for their wedding day which I always suggest as it gives a couple extra time for photos. Rachel decided to take this moment to not only have a special first look with the both of them but she also used it to prank AJ. One of the groomsmen dressed as a bride and had his own first look with AJ. When AJ turned around and realized Rachel wasn’t there there wasn’t a dry eye around because everyone was laughing so hard.
One group of photos I love to suggest to couples are veil photos. There’s something about these photos that beautifully portray a couple’s profound connection and the journey they share together. They beautifully capture love in a way other photos might not. Rachel and AJ had the perfect lighting for these photos and they ended up being dewey, light, and whimsical.
Some of the funniest shots of a wedding day are the shots of a groom with his groomsmen. Groomsmen are in a way the hype men of the day. They ensure the celebration is memorable for everyone. One of the best photos is when we tell a groom to stand ahead of his groomsmen and we have the groomsmen run up behind him and hype him up. It’s always a big hit with the couple when they get their gallery back as it shows the camaraderie between the groom and his friends perfectly!
When photographing a wedding it’s important as a photographer to remember that while the day is about the couple first and foremost they also invite all the people closest to them to celebrate. During cocktail hour we try to get photos of as many people as possible so that the couple can look back and remember all the special people that were there to celebrate with them. It also ends up being special for the guests in the photos because they get a professional photo out of it!
I love when couples add touches to their weddings that everyone will remember and talk about for years to come. Rachel and AJ did not disappoint, they decided to have someone at the cocktail hour specifically to make mozzarella. Not only was it a fun idea I can also confirm it was delicious and added really fun and different photos to the gallery!
