Getting ready photos

I love traditional getting ready photos. Pictures with a brides mom helping her into her dress or the maid of honor slipping on shoes. These are photos that will be cherished for a lifetime. If you’re like Amanda you might also want some photos that aren’t as traditional. Adding fun getting ready photos to the morning can help with any stress a bride might be feeling in the morning and let your personality shine. 

Dress change

Something that has grown in popularity over the years is the dress change during reception. A second outfit can bring new energy to the festivities. When a bride changes from a formal gown to a more comfortable and playful dress it grants freedom of movement and the ability to dance the night away. For Amanda and Dominic the dress change was a moment that really enhanced the vibes during reception. 

Direct flash

If you know me you know my heart is with light and airy photography. The aesthetic that comes from the beauty of natural light is the center of everything I do. However, we cannot sleep on indoor direct flash photos. They have a vibrancy and playfulness about them. Direct flash also adds a new dimension to the photos. Where outdoor lighting is soft and diffused, direct flash is bold and dynamic.
