Ridley Creek State Park 

While I will always suggest a spring or summer engagement session, if you choose to have an engagement session during winter I will always suggest Ridley Creek State Park as an option. Some might assume that the absence of color during the winter season diminishes the attraction to outdoor photography. A winter engagement session at Ridley Creek offers a unique and enchanting experience. 

The park, renowned for it’s picturesque trails and tranquil atmosphere, showcases an architectural elegance a lot of locations don’t have. The stunning stone structures provide a swoon worthy backdrop that enhances the romantic essence of any engagement session. 

Dogs

Incorporating dogs into your session can add an extra layer of joy and authenticity to your photographs. Their playful spirit and unconditional love can beautifully complement the emotions captured during these sessions. However, it is important to consider the logistics of including dogs in the session. While having them in the session can absolutely enhance the experience for couples, dogs are also not needed for every photo. Therefore, it is important to bring someone along who will be in charge of the dogs when they have a break. Having someone there that you trust can also ease potential stress you may feel about your pets involvement. It can be quite a challenge balancing a photo session while also keeping dogs calm. Someone being there to hold the leash or keep the dogs entertained ensures you are totally focused on enjoying your session!
