Venue

If you are looking for a beach wedding with a little bit of everything, Tyde at Walnut Beach is the perfect location. Tyde at Walnut Beach offers a modern indoor space that pairs perfectly with the coastal outdoor area overlooking the water. One of the best parts of the ceremony space is that it is away from the sand which makes it easier for yourself and guests to get to comfortably. But it is still close enough that you get the full beach experience as you’re saying vows. Tyde at Walnut Beach also offers one of my favorite cocktail hour spaces. I would love the opportunity to capture a wedding here again and experience another magical day in CT. 

Family

Family seemed to be at the heart of everything in Heather and Justin’s day. They made it a point to include their nieces and nephews in so many special moments. As an aunt myself, I completely understand how important that is. Watching the kids throughout the day was a reminder of how beautiful a wedding truly is. It is most importantly about the couple and the family they are creating together, but it is also about joining already established families to create something even bigger. 

Ceremony

Heather and Justin’s ceremony was so full of love and laughter, but what made it even more special was the bride’s class. It says something about Heather that the students she teaches wanted to come and watch her tie the knot. There is something so special about kids at a wedding ceremony. Kids bring a magical, infectious energy that lights up the space. They add a layer of joy that adults just can’t match. Having kids at a ceremony is a perfect representation of family, friends and love that surrounds the couple. (kids faces not shown, but know the photos are absolutely heart melting) 

Cocktail hour

This space is absolutely dreamy. Overlooking the water it was also the perfect place to get a ton of drone shots. I love when the opportunity arises to take stunning photos like this. Guests mingling in a gorgeous outdoor location gives a different perspective of the entire scene. Drone shots not only create a cool visual, they are also a keepsake that tell a story of your best day.
