Pocono Palms is a great spot if you choose to be in one location all day. With getting ready locations, on site indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, as well as a reception area that can hold up to 140 guests. It’s a wonderful location in the Poconos for couples who want that mountain feel.

I am always a lover in first looks of all forms. Casey had a heartfelt first look with her dad and brothers. It always pulls on your heartstrings watching a dad see his daughter as a bride, but the brothers bring the moment over the top with their emotions. It’s moments like these that make my job so special. I get the chance to capture these moments and freeze them to last forever.

For a couple who doesn’t choose to do a first look but also wants a moment together before the ceremony a first touch is the way to go. Casey and Ethan chose to take a moment after getting ready to connect without seeing each other. They held hands around a corner and it helped calm those pre-ceremony jitters. So if you are skipping the first look but you’re still looking for that pre-ceremony connection, don’t overlook a first touch. It’s the perfect way to share a moment and set the tone for the rest of the day.

I love when a couple uses someone close to them as their officiant. It creates such a personal and special touch to ceremonies. Casey and Ethan were married by Casey’s brother and it was nothing short of incredible. Filled with genuine emotion from everyone, it created such an authentic and loving ceremony. When I looked over and saw Mom and Grandma crying tears of joy I couldn’t help but get choked up myself. Those genuine moments are something I will always make sure to look for and capture for couples.
