Venue

Fiddlers Elbow in Bedminster, New Jersey is one of those venues that creates the perfect backdrop for an epic celebration. The historic English manor clubhouse with its high-energy atmosphere, paired with the vibrant colors of a traditional Indian wedding ceremony, was the perfect place to capture the fusion of timeless estate elegance and rich cultural traditions.

Mehndi and Haldi celebrations

I love getting to photograph weddings for all different cultures and backgrounds. Sonam and Davin had me photograph their entire wedding celebration which started days before the ceremony. In South Asian and Indian culture they have the Mehndi and Haldi ceremonies. The Mehndi ceremony features intricate henna art applied to the bride’s hands and feet, while the Haldi event involves loved ones smearing a purifying turmeric paste on the couple for blessings and a radiant glow. Both of these celebrations were full of joy, laughter, fun, and lots of love. It was so nice getting to capture these special moments between family before the big day.

Ceremony

Sonam and Davin’s ceremony was one that made me stand there in awe. From the immaculate ceremony decor and florals to the vibrant and happy ceremony itself. It was one of those ceremonies that made me want to be a guest to get to enjoy the excitement with their friends and family. Instead I took an overabundance of photos and fell in love with each and every one of them. Getting to capture the love that surrounds Sonam and Davin was something I did not take lightly and I and so happy I was able to be a small part of such a special celebration.

Outfit change

Outfit changes are always such a fun element at a wedding. Sonam wowed all day with her outfits. For the ceremony she donned a stunning white dress with so much amazing detail. During reception she switched into a stunning pink dress also embellished with amazing detail. Both dresses were absolutely magical in their own right. We were able to take time outside for photos in each dress because they were both worthy of their own spotlight.
