Delaware’s Nemours Estate offers a harmonious blend of history and nature. The Grand 77-room mansion created by Alfred I. DuPont is surrounded by 200 acres of beautifully curated gardens. The crown jewel of the estate is it’s expansive French gardens which are the largest in North America. Inspired by the elegance of Versailles the gardens offer symmetry, seasonal blooms and water features. Everywhere you turn there is a new carefully curated piece if artistry. That alone makes it a cherished location for engagement photos.
Making sure to book an engagement session isn’t mandatory but it’s definitely encouraged. This offers a chance to get comfortable in front of a camera before the big day which eases any anxieties on their wedding day. It also helps build a rapport with your photographer which makes this run smoother the day of the wedding. And of course it creates lasting memories and is the perfect way to capture the authentic connection a couple has.
The tranquil beauty of the estate along with the perfect weather created the most enchanting location. I had such a fun time with Kelly and Tyler. Their love for one another really shines through in the photos. I cannot wait to capture their wedding at Tillinghouse in August.
