Keep reading and scrolling to see Kim and Steven’s Pen Ryn Estate wedding photos! If you are looking for a beautiful estate property for your big day, Pen Ryn Estate is a venue that I strongly encourage you to look at. It has everything you need on the property, including getting ready spaces, indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, stunning portrait backdrops, cocktail hour locations, and a lavish reception space. Curious about this location and interested in seeing Pen Ryn Estate wedding photos? Look below!
The upstairs of the estate has both a groom’s getting ready room and a bride’s getting ready room. The groom’s space is more simple and low-key, designed as a location for the men to relax and eat while waiting for the ceremony to start. The bride’s getting ready room on the other hand is larger and more beautifully decorated. It is set up perfectly for getting ready portraits. It has full length mirrors, a vanity, big windows with a lot of natural light, and a fireplace. The windows also look down on the outdoor ceremony site below which is a special touch!
While the groom’s getting ready location is a great place to hangout and relax, I strongly recommend using the library as a backdrop for some getting ready photos!
The Pen Ryn Estate property has so many phenomenal outdoor locations for portraits. Even the driveway leading to the property is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a perfect backdrop for portraits. The river is also a short walk from the estate and a great place to utilize for portraits. Make sure to get a photo from behind of the couple walking back towards the estate after, it makes for an amazing shot! In my opinion, the best outdoor location for portraits is right in front of the estate! Not only is there a garden and fountain in the front, but the estate itself makes for a stunning backdrop.
While the outside of the Pen Ryn property has many stunning locations to utilize for portraits, the inside of the estate also has many beautiful spots. On the second floor of the building, there is an adorable little balcony. I recommend taking photos of the couple on the second floor in front of the balcony and also going to the first floor and taking photos up at the couple looking over the balcony. One of my favorite photos from the day was taken inside the estate while the couple stood in the door frame.
The ceremony location is honestly my favorite part of this entire venue. The site is located amongst lush greenery with a view of the river in the distance. The bride makes a grand entrance out of the front of the estate. She walks around the fountain and down the aisle with the estate behind her. Everything about the ceremony site makes it feel like a fairytale.
Pen Ryn Estate’s cocktail hour space is unlike many other venues because of how much space it has. Guests are welcome to enjoy the front of the estate, indoor and outdoor bars, and three different rooms with food. Not only is the abundance of food a plus, but the large space also helps ensure that guests don’t feel uncomfortable and crammed.
Last but not least, there is the reception space. This lavishly decorated room is the perfect place to host the party. Not only does the room have beautiful chandeliers and details, but it also has a large dance floor and stage to really get the party going!
