With it’s timeless white marble architecture, vast columns and spectacular views the Jefferson Memorial is one of Washington D.C.’s most iconic locations. This means it’s the perfect spot for breathtaking engagement photos. Regina and Alex had their engagement session in the evening which was perfect because the crowds have died down and the sun is a little softer. Engagement sessions are also about so much more than beautiful photos. They create an opportunity to slow down, celebrate your relationship, and get comfortable in front of a camera. By the end of the session Regina and Alex were completely at ease. It’s always fun when a couple starts to get more comfortable and they let their personalities shine through.

A lot of couples opt for a sunrise session but there is something so romantic and warm about an evening session. Especially one at the Jefferson Memorial overlooking the Washington Monument. Washington is always so busy and bustling it’s nice to see it when there aren’t a ton of people and you can really enjoy the architecture. An evening session is also the perfect excuse for a date night. A lot of my couples will opt for an evening session so that they can go out for a nice dinner afterward.
