Pen Ryn is a historic estate dating back 275 years. The property sits on 100 acres and provides a calming atmosphere for your big day. They have a mansion, manor, and riverfront estate so it’s hard to go wrong. They also do almost everything in house so that your wedding can be as stress free as possible.
GETTING READY:
Both Danielle and Brandon started getting ready in different locations and they both finished getting ready at Pen Ryn. The bridal party was full of lighthearted and fun people who made the getting ready process so much easier for Danielle and Brandon. It also made it easy for me to get awesome photos of them.
FIRST LOOK:
Danielle didn’t do a first look with Brandon because she wanted his genuine reaction when she walked down the aisle. She did however do a first look with her best friend/maid of honor. I loved capturing this moment as it’s something not a lot of brides do. To have a first look with just her MOH made for an extra special moment between just the two of them.
CEREMONY:
Danielle and Brandon asked before their wedding if I could not only take a picture of their first kiss from the front but also the back. It’s of course hard to be in 2 places at once so I told them to hold their kiss as long as they could so I could run from the back to the front and get both angles. Looking at the photos I was so happy they asked this because getting to see their guests reaction is a special touch.
COUPLES PORTRAITS:
Pen Ryn offered some amazing locations for couples photos. The lighting on this day made for some amazing pictures. I was able to work with the lighting through the trees to make some gorgeous sun beams in the photos. What made it better was that Danielle and Brandon were so fun to get to shoot.
SPEECHES:
Sometimes reaction pictures during speeches are overlooked, but not for me. Usually these are some of my favorite photos of a wedding. Watching the genuine reaction from the couple when they hear what their loved ones have to say never fails to make me smile. Dannielle and Brandon had a whole mix of emotions during their speeches, which made for emotional photos.
RECEPTION:
A lot of brides are joining in on the 2 dress trend. Danielle not only changed dresses at her reception, but she and her bridesmaids changed dresses. To add to that they did a fun dance for Brandon after they changed. This wedding was a fun one and the reception photos show that this couple has some awesome friends and family surrounding them. I found myself wanting to join in on the fun!
